First United Bank breaks ground on St. John Location

St. John, Indiana October 2, 2008 -

First United Bank headquartered in Crete, IL has broken ground on their sixth banking center. The new branch will be located at 10895 Park Place, located in The Gates of St. John on US 231.

"Today marks a very special day for First United Bank", said Richard Lindeman, President/CEO. "Not only is this our sixth full service banking center, but this will be our first Indiana location. We pride ourselves on community banking and look forward to a long relationship with the people of St. John."

The 8500 square foot, full service banking center will open in late spring of 2009.

Operations Center Coming Fall of 2008

To better assistant our banking centers, First United Bank is building a new Operations Center. This new facility will be located directly behind our Crete location.

This 11,500 square foot facility will house approximately 25 employees and include our Operations Group, General Services Division and our Information Technology Team.

Richard Lindeman, President and CEO, said, "We are excited about the construction phase of this project. Considerable effort has gone into planning and we are very pleased with the design created by Olivieri Brothers Inc.”

The Operations Center will open this fall.
